About us

Trato Fino isn’t a name. It’s a promise.

It means dealing fair and dealing right, and that’s how people get treated here. We’re Dominican, in Inwood, for all of New York.

The store’s exterior sign: the TF monogram and the Trato Fino name in raised gold lettering on a dark panel, with Jewelry Store Corp. in capitals underneath. Below, the glass storefront and the recessed entryway lights.

Where we come from

We opened in 2025 and we haven’t moved off Nagle Avenue.

Trato Fino Jewelry Store Corp. was registered in New York State on August 25, 2025, and the store opened to the public that September. Same door ever since, same hours, same hands behind the counter.

The team

Who’s behind the counter.

Portrait in the store office, against a wood-paneled wall with two horizontal light strips switched on.

Raffi

Master jeweler and co-owner

He works the metal at the bench, weighs the pieces and gives the price. He’s the face of the business and the one who answers when something needs solving.

Tito

Store team member

He greets whoever walks in, shows the case and stays with the sale from start to finish.

How we work

Three things we don’t negotiate.

Dominican-owned

The neighborhood talks like us and buys like us. Service here is in Spanish and English, with no interpreter.

Customer first

We weigh the metal in front of you and we give you the price in full. Nobody leaves without understanding what they bought or what they sold.

Secure storefront

Locks on the doors and your piece kept safe while it’s with us.
