Only the metal counts
You get paid for the metal, not for the whole piece. A stone, a magnetic clasp or a section of another material isn’t paid as gold and comes off the calculation. That’s why the final number is given at the counter, with the piece on the scale.
The offer is made in store
We test the karat and weigh it on the scale, right in front of you. If the number works for you, you get paid on the spot. If it doesn’t, you take your piece home and nothing happened.

- Because gold trades on international markets and moves every day. That’s why the reference shows a date and time.
- What if I don’t know the karat or the weight?
- Bring it in anyway. We test the karat and weigh it at the counter, at no charge and with no obligation.
- Does it work for silver or other metals?
- No. The calculator is for gold only. Silver gets appraised at the counter, for free.
